The following students will be participating in the research activities and the deep-sea course. Some of these students, indicated by * (asterisk), are NSF GK-12 fellows who teach science to elementary school students in the Coos Bay, North Bend, Bandon and Port Orford/Langlois school districts in Oregon. During the cruise, these students will be sharing their experiences with their students back home by posting daily logs and answering questions posed by their students.

	*Tracey Smart (Ph.D. Student, Emlet and Young labs, University of Oregon) is just finishing her doctoral degree on the ecology and larval development of unusual worms (Owenia) that live in west coast mudflats (Young lab)
	*Maya Wolf (Ph.D. Student, Young lab, University of Oregon) is a doctoral student who works on parasitic copepods that live inside nudibranchs (sea slugs) in Oregon.
	*Paul Dunn (Ph.D. Student, Young lab, University of Oregon) is a doctoral student who works on nemerteans (ribbon worms) that parasitize Dungeness crabs in Oregon.
	*Erin Cooper (Ph.D. Student, Shanks lab, University of Oregon) is a doctoral student who studies the ecology of snails living in the rocky intertidal zone of California and Oregon.
	*Stephanie Schroeder (Ph.D. Student, Shanks lab, University of Oregon) is a doctoral student working on the behavioral ecology of large intertidal limpets.
	*Holly Keammerer (Ph.D. Student, Emlet Lab, University of Oregon) is working on the ecology of salt marsh plants.
	Paul Cziko (Ph.D. Student, Center for Ecology and Evolution, University of Oregon) is interested in physiology and molecular biology of marine animals. He is currently working with Michelle Wood.
	Nadia Suarez-Bosche (Ph.D. Student, Tyler Lab, University of Southampton, U.K.) is a Ph.D. student from Mexico working on the effects of ocean acidification of skeleton formation in invertebrate larvae.
	*Heather Austin (M.S. Student, Young Lab, University of Oregon) is investigating the salinity tolerances of estuarine sea anemones.
	*Katie Bennett (M.S. Student, Shanks Lab, University of Oregon) studies the ecology and reproduction of intertidal chitons.
	*Sarah Matthews (M.S. Student, Emlet Lab, University of Oregon) is working on the biology of tiny caprellid amphipods in the Charleston harbor.
	*Annie Pollard (M.S. Student, Shanks Lab, University of Oregon) studies the behavior and ecology of seabirds on the Oregon coast.
	*Wyatt Miller (M.S. Student, Terwilliger Lab, University of Oregon) works on molecular mechanisms regulating salinity responses in crabs.
